(January 27, 2012) Yesterday, the AFL-CIO wrote a letter to each U.S. Senator, urging support of Senator Begich's (D-AK) efforts to amend the harsh, antiunion provisions of S. 1789 , the "21st Century Postal Act." By amending the current binding arbitration privisions, S.1789 would tip the balance unfairly for the U.S Postal Service over its employees represented by labor unions.
